कुछ यादें जो नहीं मिटती, नेहरू जी की पुण्यतिथि पर लौट आती हैं

‘कुछ बात है कि हस्ती, मिटती नहीं हमारी,
सदियों रहा है दुश्मन, दौर-ए-ज़माँ हमारा“‘- मशहूर शायर अल्लामा इक़बाल की ये पंक्तियाँ नेहरू जी की स्मृति के सन्दर्भ में भी कही जा सकती हैI I नेहरू जी के बारे में बड़े- बड़े लेखकों, पत्रकारों और राजनीतिक नेताओं ने अपने उद्गार प्रकट किये हैं -जैसे कि उत्तराखंड के अंग्रेजी भाषा के एक विश्व प्रसिद्ध लेखक रस्किन बॉण्ड लिखते हैं कि -“Normally writers do not talk much,because they are saving their conversations for the readers of their book-those invisible listeners with whom we wish to strike a sympathetic chord….. ……The Nehru years were rather very peaceful years. A lot happened in those years: dams were built, five-year plans were made, Chandigarh was built in front of my eyes. Those were the years I grew up in.-Ruskin Bond”
लंदन से प्रकाशित समाचार और सांस्कृतिक पत्रिका The New Statesman के सम्पादक किंग्सले मार्टिन यद्यपि ब्रिटिश पत्रकार थे लेकिन कभी- कभी टाइम्स ऑफ़ इंडिया की प्रतिष्ठित पत्रिका इलस्ट्रेटेड वीकली ऑफ़ इंडिया में भी उनके लेख छपते रहते थे। नेहरू जी की मृत्यु के समय उन्हें बड़े शिद्दत से याद करते हुए लिखा था कि “Nehru’s legacy was a triumph of democratic nation-building against impossible odds, ,it is supreme example in modern history of a man who held absolute power and used it only to set foundations for democracy, socialism, secularism and science…..Jawaharlal Nehru wasn’t only a leader of the masses, but he was also a great intellectual who had the great sense of society, history, culture and economics. His prediction on communal ism is a reality, today. The biggest tribute for Nehru is to fight against oppression, tyranny and fascism. As he was always inspired by the following lines poem of Robert Frost -“The woods are lovely, dark and deep,But I have promises to keep,And miles to go before I sleep And miles to go before I sleep.”
उस समय जनसंघ पार्टी के सांसद भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी जी ने संसद में नेहरू जी को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि इन शब्दों में दी थी -” आज भारत माता दुखी हैं उसने अपना कीमती सपूत खो दिया ‌..आज एक सपना खत्म हो गया एक गीत खामोश हो गया है एक लौ हमेशा के लिए बुझ गई है वह एक ऐसा सपना था जिसमें भुखमरी भय डर नहीं था वह ऐसा गीत था जिसमें गीता की गूंज थी तो गुलाब की महक भी थी ”
सोशलिस्ट और सर्वोदयी नेता जयप्रकाश नारायण जी ने कहा – ” He was the most civilized person among us all,…. not many among us are civilized y,et ,….a beloved friend … irreplaceable to the nation.” १९४७ में कांग्रेस पार्टी के कार्यवाहक अध्यक्ष आचार्य जीवतराम भगवानदास कृपलानी जी ( JB kripalani ) ने संसद में नेहरु जी को श्रद्धांजलि देते हुए कहा था कि “जवाहर उम्र में मुझसे सिर्फ एक ही साल छोटे थे लेकिन मुझसे ११ गुना सभ्य और सज्जन इंसान थे ..
संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ केमहासचिव U Thant ने हमारे राष्ट्रपति जी को सन्देश भेजा कि -“Few men of this age have left their mark on the history of their country as he has. Responsible as he was for the policies of one of the largest countries in the world, he had affected the course of world events. India should know that in her hour of grief her sorrow is shared by all of us in the United Nations”
