PROJECT SHIVALIK OF BRO CELEBRATES 15TH RAISING DAY

Dehradun, 25 February. Border Roads Organisations Project Shivalik based at Lal Tappad celebrated its 15th raising day on 25 February. Project Shivalik, since its inception on 25 Feb 2009, has been at the forefront of infrastructure development and has been ensuring round-the-year road connectivity in the State of Uttarakhand.


Project Shivalik has endeavored, not just during the disaster of 2013 or the frequent flashfloods and snowfalls disrupting road connectivity but has also strived to fulfill many social and
community obligations. Many events to contribute to social causes were organized by the
Projects in the year 2022 such as BRO@63 Multi-Dimensional Expedition, Women eCar Rally,
Yoga Camp, Medical and Dental Camps, Sanitation & Cleanliness Drives, Har Ghar Tiranga.


Road-Safety and Blood Donation Campaigns etc. The Karmyogis of this Project were also
privileged to host the PM of India at Mana Dett last year. The Project was adjudged as the ‘Fastest to achieve the milestone of reaching ₹ 100 Cr by EPC’ and has completed more
than 300m of bridging, a feat that has been exceeded only by Project Sampark.


The 15th raising day was celebrated by the Karmyogis of Project Shivalik by organizing various
events over the last two days. The events included a Lecture on Road Safety, Blood Donation
Camp in collaboration with AIIMS, Rishikesh, 5 KM run for all categories, interaction with
veterans, and the dedication of Amar Karmyogi Smriti. The dedication and commitment of the
BRO karma yogis were also recognized by way of the award of Governor’s Commendation Cards, DGBR Commendation Cards, and other awards which were highlighted by Brig P S Joshi,
Chief Engineer, Project Shivalik, during a Special Sammelan held on 25 Feb 2023.
The Karmyogis of Project Shivalik, on its 15th raising day, re-dedicate themselves to the cause
of the nation with the pledge of शिवालिक और आवाम, तरक्की है मुकाम
