रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह 14 जनवरी को चीड़बाग, देहरादून में शौर्य स्थल का उद्घाटन करेंगे

देहरादून, 12 जनवरी। रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह 14 जनवरी को चीड़बाग, देहरादून में शौर्य स्थल का उद्घाटन करेंगे। चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ जनरल अनिल चौहान, उत्तराखंड के सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री, आर्मी कमांडर सेंट्रल कमांड, जीओसी उत्तर भारत क्षेत्र, तीन सेवाओं के दिग्गज और सेवारत सैनिक इस आयोजन के लिए उपस्थित रहेंगे।
जीओसी उत्तराखंड सब एरिया, मेजर जनरल संजीव खत्री ने वृहस्पतिवार को मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी को 14 जनवरी को शौर्य स्थल के उद्घाटन समारोह के लिए आमंत्रित करने के लिए मुलाकात की। यह कार्यक्रम जीओसी-इन-सी, सेंट्रल कमांड, लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल योगेंद्र डिमरी द्वारा आयोजित किया जा रहा है।
गौरतलब है कि हाल ही में उत्तराखंड वार मेमोरियल ट्रस्ट द्वारा 9 दिसंबर को शौर्य स्थल को भारतीय सेना को सौंप दिया गया था। युद्ध स्मारक ट्रस्ट ने छावनी बोर्ड के साथ पूर्व के समझौता ज्ञापन को रद्द कर दिया। इसके बाद, सेना और छावनी बोर्ड शौर्य स्थल के पूर्ण प्रबंधन और रखरखाव और निर्दिष्ट दिनों पर सभी गतिविधियों और समारोहों के संचालन के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं।
शौर्य स्थल को संभालने के बाद सेना ने इसे पूरी तरह से नया रूप दे दिया है। छावनी बोर्ड गढ़ी ने पूरे स्थान का नवीनीकरण भी किया है। शौर्य स्थल में 1947, 1962, 1965 और 1971 के युद्धों और उग्रवाद विरोधी अभियानों और उत्तराखंड के अशोक चक्र पुरस्कार विजेताओं के छह आवक्षों को दर्शाते हुए भित्ति चित्र रखे गए हैं। एक विजयंत टैंक प्रवेश द्वार पर प्रहरी खड़ा है जबकि तीनों सेनाओं के झंडे गर्व से अंदर फहराते हैं।
Dehradun, 12 January. Defence Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh will inaugurate Shaurya Sthal at Cheedbagh on 14 January. Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, Sainik Kalyan Mantri of Uttarakhand, Army Commander Central Command, GOC Uttar Bharat Area, Veterans of three services and serving soldiers will be present for the event.
The GOC Uttarakhand Sub Area, Major General Sanjeev Khatri met Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami to invite him for the Inauguration Ceremony of Shaurya Sthal on 14 January, being organized by the Army, on behalf of GOC-in-C, Central Command, Lieutenant General Yogendra Dimri.
It may be recalled that Shaurya Sthal was recently handed over to Indian Army on 9 December by Uttarakhand War Memorial Trust. The War Memorial Trust abrogated the erstwhile Memorandum of Understanding with the Cantonment Board. Hereafter, the Army and Cantonment Board are responsible for the complete management and maintenance of Shaurya Sthal and the conduct of all activities and ceremonies on designated days.
Shaurya Sthal has been given a complete facelift by the Army after taking over. Cantonment Board Garhi has also renovated the entire location. Murals depicting the wars of 1947, 1962, 1965, and 1971 and counter-insurgency operations and six busts of Ashok Chakra awardees from Uttarakhand have been placed in Shaurya Sthal. A Vijayant tank stands sentinel at the entrance while flags of the three services proudly flutter inside. A breathtakingly beautiful Shaurya Sthal awaits it dedication to the Armed Forces by the Raksha Mantri.
On the occasion of Veterans Day, Raksha Mantri and Chief Minister will thereafter proceed to Jaswant Ground in Garhi Cantt to address the Armed Forces Veterans Rally.
